Wipe the exterior with a dry, soft cloth. No solvents and no leather feed — both do more harm than good on a coated finish. For the interior, lift the cushions out and use a soft brush rather than compressed air, which drives dust deeper into the lining. Nothing inside needs lubricating.
Two years on parts and labour from the day it arrives. Motor faults are replaced, not repaired at your cost. Cushions and adaptors are sold separately, so a worn part does not retire the whole unit.

Quietly impressive
Nine months and it has not developed the rattle my last one had at three.
Wood is darker than the photos
The finish itself is excellent, deep and even, no argument there. It is noticeably darker in person than on the listing, closer to true black than the brown-black I was expecting, and next to lighter furniture it reads as a black box. I have got used to it.
The gloss is properly done
Deep and even, no orange peel in the lacquer when you look along it. That is where cheap gloss gives itself away.
The light stays in the study
Mine lives on a desk where the blue is rather the point of it in the evening. In a bedroom I would shut the lid, which turns it off anyway.
Takes a wide watch, just
My 44mm on a bracelet fits the position but there is very little room either side. Anything wider and I think it would be a problem.
Bought for one, ready for two
I have a single automatic today and I know exactly which one I am buying next. Replacing a winder eighteen months later is a waste and this avoids it.
Second position was the reason

Fingerprints on the gloss
It is a beautiful finish and it does show every touch. A cloth lives in the drawer next to it now. Worth knowing if that sort of thing bothers you.
Ebony looks the part
Photographs make it look like black plastic. It is not, and the difference is obvious the moment the box is open.
I leave the lid up
Which I did not expect to. The blue light on the ebony actually looks rather good in a dim room and it has become a bit of a fixture.
Three modes, all useful
Clockwise, anti-clockwise and alternating. I run the alternating one and the watch has kept excellent time on it.
Alternating has suited both
One is a Seiko, one a Longines, and the alternating cycle has kept them both within a couple of seconds. I stopped fiddling with it after the first week.

I was running two singles and two adaptors. One lead now, and the surface looks considerably tidier for it.

What actually stops people.
Fair. So here is the test, and it takes five seconds: look at where your watches will sit tonight. A drawer, a dish, the edge of a sink. If that is the answer, this replaces it. If they already live somewhere you chose on purpose, you probably don't need us — and we would rather say so now than take the order.

A single polish to lift drawer scratches costs more than the smallest case on this site. The maths only looks silly until something gets marked.

The forums will tell you a stopped watch isn't damaged, and they are right. But that argument is about winders — nobody has ever been told off for keeping six watches from resting against each other.
The part that genuinely wears is the crown: the screw and the gasket you handle every time you reset it. Less handling, less wear. That is the whole case, and it doesn't need defending.
Buy one size up from where you are today. It costs a little more now and saves buying the whole thing again in eighteen months — which is the single most common regret people write to us about.
