Carbon black is subtle
Not the shiny fake carbon you see everywhere. Matt, close-textured, reads as a serious object rather than a car accessory.

Ten watches, and only the one on your wrist shows the right time. Last month's chronograph, the evening watch, the one that takes four minutes to set because of its date: all stopped at the back of the drawer.
The Knightsbridge brings them together under one glass lid, lit like a jeweller's window. The two you wear most are turning, ready. The other eight are on display, safe from dust.
Japanese Mabuchi motor, 850 turns a day, with rest pauses between cycles. Stops automatically when opened: never a hand above a moving holder. Black leather or carbon, built-in LED lighting.
Eight free places: the collection you are about to build.
Wipe the exterior with a dry, soft cloth. No solvents and no leather feed — both do more harm than good on a coated finish. For the interior, lift the cushions out and use a soft brush rather than compressed air, which drives dust deeper into the lining. Nothing inside needs lubricating.
Two years on parts and labour from the day it arrives. Motor faults are replaced, not repaired at your cost. Cushions and adaptors are sold separately, so a worn part does not retire the whole unit.
30-day returns, gift-boxed as standard. Mon–Fri, 9–5, a person answers. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected.
Where it shows

It ends up on the chest of drawers, not back in the box it arrived in.
Not the shiny fake carbon you see everywhere. Matt, close-textured, reads as a serious object rather than a car accessory.
Warm rather than the blue glare I was dreading, and it only comes on with the lid.
I bought it for the bedroom and it has migrated. It does not look like equipment, which is the whole reason it was allowed downstairs.
Two motors and I cannot hear them from the other side of the room. My previous single was louder.
It holds wherever you leave it rather than dropping shut. After a year that is still true, which is where cheaper lids give up.
Double boxed, foam corners, and the leather had not so much as creased in transit.
Two bracelet watches that would not sit on a fixed post go on these without unclasping anything.
Nothing to add.
I had five watches when it arrived. I have seven now. Buying the smaller one would have been a false economy and I knew it at the time.
No complaint about how it is made, it is excellent. It is a good deal larger in person than the photographs suggest and the shelf I had cleared for it was nowhere near deep enough. It now lives on a chest of drawers, which is fine, but I would have liked the dimensions to have registered with me before it arrived.
Two winding, eight stored, and the collection is not going to outgrow that. The maths of buying once rather than three times over a decade is not complicated.
Small thing that turns out to matter daily. Lift the lid and the motors halt, so you are never reaching past something that is turning. I did not know I wanted it until I had it.
Fair questions
Fair. So here is the test, and it takes five seconds: look at where your watches will sit tonight. A drawer, a dish, the edge of a sink. If that is the answer, this replaces it. If they already live somewhere you chose on purpose, you probably don't need us — and we would rather say so now than take the order.
Thirty days to send it back either way.
You have already spent a good deal more than this on one of the watches. This is the least expensive thing you will ever buy that touches them every single day.
A single polish to lift drawer scratches costs more than the smallest case on this site. The maths only looks silly until something gets marked.
Possibly, right up until it is on the chest of drawers. What settles it is never the argument — it is the object. Something that reads as furniture rather than a gadget, holding things you already owned, in a room you both live in.
It stops being a purchase and starts being where the watches go.
The forums will tell you a stopped watch isn't damaged, and they are right. But that argument is about winders — nobody has ever been told off for keeping six watches from resting against each other.
The part that genuinely wears is the crown: the screw and the gasket you handle every time you reset it. Less handling, less wear. That is the whole case, and it doesn't need defending.
Buy one size up from where you are today. It costs a little more now and saves buying the whole thing again in eighteen months — which is the single most common regret people write to us about.
Every capacity is stated plainly on the page. Count what you own, then add the two you already know you want.
Thirty days to change your mind, extended over Christmas. Two years on parts and labour from the day it lands.
Monday to Friday, nine to five, a person answers — and they will tell you honestly when something is not the right fit, including when the answer is no.
Anything else — call. A person answers.
